Greetings!Joy Grady, Executive Director

Every day Wilmington Health Access for Teens serves teens with primary care, mental health services and health education activities. Our mission is to improve the health of the youth of our community by ensuring access for all to quality physical and mental health services and by providing prevention, education and outreach services to promote optimal health.

We're making great progress along the lines of access to care, quality care and at a reasonable cost. With your continued friendship we will be able to do more. Please take a moment to watch a "clip" from our video - a success story that captures the essence of our work.

You can help WHAT continue to thrive in this uncertain economic environment  to reduce preventable illness and increase opportunities for teens in making healthy lifestyle decisions as well as changes. Please consider making a supportive gift to WHAT at this time of year. For your convenience, click here to make a donation online.

From our WHAT family to yours, I wish you peace, joy and good health this holiday season.

Why Teens?
  • Teens are the least likely group to seek healthcare. WHAT makes it easy!
  • Unhealthy teens are significantly less likely to graduate. WHAT supports the whole teen: mind, body and spirit.
  • Behavior patterns learned in the teenage years continue into adulthood. WHAT reinforces healthy behaviors.
