WHO We Are
Wilmington Health Access for Teens (WHAT) of Coastal Horizons Center specializes in adolescent health and school-based health care.
Since 1997, we have been working to address and effectively meet the many unique health care needs of adolescents and young adults ages 11-24 in the Cape Fear region by providing integrated primary medical care, mental health, prevention and nutrition services.
Today, WHAT remains a bedrock in the community for many who seek quality adolescent- and family-centered care that is both convenient and affordable at our main facility on Oleander Drive and three school-based health centers. By providing services within the school setting for students – where they are and when they need care – our providers help to address, manage and prevent common problems, like asthma, diabetes and depression, earlier on, keeping students healthy, in school and ready to learn.
